I am an enthusiastic brand advocate, as I firmly believe in strategic branding as the key ingredient in any company’s success.
My 20+ years of experience as a creative strategist confirm that a company—and all types of endeavors, can significantly benefit from understanding its purpose and communicating it authentically and meaningfully. I have been fortunate to help brands of all sizes, local and worldwide, tell their visual story to their internal and external audiences.
My attitude is can-do. I believe in the power of inspiring mission-driven teams to build on successful results and a culture of empathy and kindness.
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, I grew up in an environment of diversity. I love to discover new realities and learn from them. Spanish is my native tongue, and I am fluent in English and French. I can communicate in Italian and Portuguese. Additionally, I am learning Arabic.
I live in Washington, DC, and work at the International Monetary Fund—guiding their branding efforts.
I love challenges and I believe there is a smart solution to even the most complex (and seemingly hopeless) project.
Each creative project should embody its own unique personality. From a creative strategic approach, I define the concept and creative direction that will shape the essence of every project. I constantly search for ways to achieve maximum impact to deliver measurable results.
“Felipe Leon is one of the most talented creative leaders and designers I’ve ever met. He participated in a $50 million+ project I was managing and offered tremendous value through critical thinking, generating ideas of design product that I would have never asked for as his internal customer. He truly understood our needs and offered creative output that consistently exceeded expectations. ”
